Founded in 2016, Pink Pie is the brain child of husband and wife duo Michael McGowan (Executive Chef) and Paloma Machado-McGowan (CEO). Both our founders are classically trained chefs with Michelin star experience that studied and worked in New York City. Paloma and Michael both moved to NYC to attend the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan, where they met and fell in love. Upon graduation, they worked in Michelin starred restaurants in the city, including highly acclaimed Betony and Ai Fiori. While Michael continued to work as a chef, Paloma pursued a Masters in Hospitality Management from NYU, with the purpose of opening their own business. They eventually moved to South Florida, where Michael is from, with the intent of incubating their mini pie concept and found the perfect place for it at the Yellow Green Farmers Market. Pink Pie was officially launched on September of 2016 and has not stopped growing ever since.
